Senior Manager – Market Conduct Risk

About the role

The Senior Manager – Market Conduct Risk will lead the development and oversight of the bank's independent Market Conduct Risk Framework, ensuring compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and promoting fair outcomes for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously enhance the Market Conduct Risk Framework, methodology, taxonomy and governance standards.
• Provide independent oversight and challenge over First Line implementation of Consumer Protection Standards across the customer lifecycle.
• Conduct enterprise‑wide conduct risk assessments, maintain a risk register and perform thematic reviews based on emerging risks and regulatory findings.
• Lead regulatory engagements with the Central Bank of UAE and coordinate responses to examinations and remediation plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Education or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, controls and governance within the banking industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE consumer protection regulations and conduct‑risk standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with senior management and regulators.

Required skills

• Regulatory compliance and governance expertise, particularly in conduct risk and consumer protection.
• Ability to analyse conduct‑risk data, complaints and market‑abuse incidents and develop mitigation strategies.
• Experience overseeing market‑abuse reporting, insider‑trading policies and conflict‑of‑interest controls.
