Senior Manager Retail Operations and Technology (D365)

About the role

Mair Group is looking for an experienced Senior Manager – D365 Retail Technology to lead the technology landscape supporting grocery retail store operations. The role combines strong technical expertise with retail business knowledge, especially in grocery, and involves hands-on work with application configuration, integrations, troubleshooting and solution design. It covers D365 Retail, POS retail operations and production support.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce/Retail modules (POS, Store Commerce, pricing, promotions, inventory, product management) and act as Solution Architect for customisations, upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Translate business requirements into scalable D365 solutions and drive adoption of digital tools across stores.
• Manage integrations between D365 and payment gateways, ERPs, e-commerce, loyalty systems, pricing engines and third-party store apps, including APIs, middleware and batch interfaces.
• Lead POS retail operations and application support: incident, problem, change and release management, SLAs/KPIs, and business continuity.
• Lead retail transformation and implementation projects, including budgets, timelines, risks and change management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business, retail management, IT or a related field.
• 10-15+ years of experience in retail operations and/or retail technology.
• Experience as a Solution Architect for retail technology with D365 commerce modules and their integrations.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills; experience in large-scale retail transformations.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce and similar platforms.
• Azure integration technologies, APIs, middleware, batch and real-time integration patterns.
• SQL/database concepts, application monitoring, performance optimisation and production support.
• DevOps, CI/CD, source control and release management.
