Senior Mechanical Engineer Abu Dhabi & Ruwais

About the role

Bright Accord is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering activities on construction projects in Abu Dhabi and Ruwais. The role involves supervising installations, ensuring compliance with UAE standards, and delivering projects safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanical engineering work on construction sites.
• Review and coordinate mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Manage installation, testing, commissioning, and inspection of mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Monitor site progress, ensure schedule adherence, and resolve technical issues.
• Review submittals, material approvals, shop drawings, method statements, and inspection requests.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, and UAE codes.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, and documentation.
• Assist in project planning, manpower, material procurement, and cost control.
• Participate in technical meetings and provide engineering solutions.
• Promote HSE compliance and safe working practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in UAE construction.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and construction activities.
• Experience managing site teams and coordinating with consultants and subcontractors.
• Good knowledge of UAE standards, regulations, and authority requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with engineering and project management software.
