Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Process

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Process will lead preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance activities on rotating and static plant equipment. The role supports production, quality and safety across the Oil & Gas Treatment Plant, Satah Plant, Gas Export Unit, and related storage and loading areas.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain work permits, prepare transport, materials, tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Allocate work to technicians, diagnose complex faults and inspect completed work.
• Perform routine, preventive and major overhauls, replace worn parts and determine replacement needs.
• Prepare daily maintenance reports covering faults, work performed, materials, labour and time.
• Develop Job Safety Analyses, conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE policies.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for UAE national competency programs.
• Collect technical field data, assist in progress reports and contribute to method statements and near‑miss reports.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant diploma.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a large industrial, preferably oil & gas, environment.
• Proven ability to lead a team, manage time effectively and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and Maximo.
• Ability to evaluate method statements and Job Safety Analyses.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using data analysis for equipment failures.
