Senior Merchandiser

About the role

The Senior Merchandiser supports the Brand Manager in planning product and assortment strategies that meet or exceed financial targets across the UAE region. The role coordinates allocation, delivery, and replenishment of merchandise to stores, ensuring a balanced collection and optimal stock turnover.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in pre‑season financial planning, in‑season projections, open‑to‑buy management and new store budgets.
• Analyze store profiles, weeks of stock, sales blend and inventory by store grade.
• Manage in‑season stock analysis, markdowns, and stock‑vs‑sale performance.
• Plan merchandise mix for each store, execute initial product allocation and reserve management.
• Finalize seasonal assortment plans and size run books in collaboration with the Sr. Merchandiser.
• Monitor competitor product lines, pricing and developments.
• Ensure ageing standards and stock turn policies are followed.
• Negotiate margins, manage orders, stock distribution and product selection.
• Track best‑sellers and slow‑sellers, taking corrective actions.
• Conduct regular store visits and competition analysis with the Brand Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month relevant merchandising experience.
• Ability to analyze sales data, inventory reports and store performance.
• Strong attention to detail for stock balancing and markdown management.
