Senior Multidiscipline Inspector

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Multidiscipline Inspector to lead quality and compliance activities for on‑shore and off‑shore oil & gas and petrochemical projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing welding, piping, mechanical equipment, coating, and advanced NDT inspections while ensuring adherence to international codes and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor/manufacturer documentation against purchase orders, material specs and relevant codes.
• Conduct material receiving inspections, endorse procedures and welder qualifications.
• Approve Inspection & Test Plans, material certificates, welding procedures and NDT reports.
• Monitor and approve PWHT, hydrostatic & pneumatic testing, and radiographic/NDT results.
• Inspect pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pressurised piping and structural works during fabrication.
• Raise non‑conformance reports and verify corrective actions.
• Prepare concise weekly and monthly inspection reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Welding or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in on‑shore/off‑shore oil & gas or petrochemical inspection.
• Proven experience liaising with EPC contractors and reviewing multidiscipline ITPs.
• Strong written and spoken English, with ability to produce technical reports.
• Computer literate and familiar with ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO and BS codes.

Required skills

• CSWIP 3.2, AWS‑Senior, CWI, ERS welding inspection certifications.
• PCN Level II, BGAS Level 2 or NACE Level 1 preferred.
• Advanced NDT methods and ability to assess NDT procedures.
• Knowledge of ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO, BS, ANSI, EN 1024 standards.
• Experience with welding, PWHT, hydro testing, coating and painting inspections.
