Senior Neonatologist Consultant – Government Hospital (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist/Consultant Neonatologist to join a reputed government healthcare facility in the UAE. The role involves providing specialized care for newborns, especially premature and critically ill infants, within an advanced NICU environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to newborns, including premature, low‑birth‑weight, and critically ill infants.
• Diagnose and manage neonatal conditions such as respiratory distress, infections, jaundice, and congenital disorders.
• Manage NICU patients, coordinate respiratory and supportive therapies, and perform neonatal resuscitation in emergencies.
• Monitor growth and development, adjust treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, obstetricians, neonatal nurses and multidisciplinary teams, and counsel families on care plans.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree with postgraduate qualifications in Pediatrics and specialized training in Neonatology.
• Relevant clinical experience at Senior Specialist or Consultant level.
• Strong expertise in neonatal intensive care and management of premature and critically ill newborns.
• Experience with neonatal resuscitation, respiratory support, and complex neonatal conditions.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills.
