About the role
Tether is looking for a Senior Node.js Software Engineer to join its team on a 100% remote basis, open worldwide. You will develop and maintain the company's P2P stack and help expand its ecosystem, which includes more than 1,500 public npm modules and a robust, modular codebase.
Required profile
- Proven experience in Node.js development with production-scale applications.
- Solid skillset in testing and debugging.
- Deep interest in or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.
- Comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team with good communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with native Node.js extensions (C/C++) or binding JavaScript to lower-level code.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize network protocols or systems, such as latency and throughput.
- Familiarity with advanced networking concepts.
- Past contributions to open-source projects, especially in P2P or decentralized technology.
