Senior Occupational Therapist

About the role

A client in Dubai, UAE is looking for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist. The role centres on improving patients' recovery, independence and quality of life, with a focus on inpatient, outpatient and post-operative rehabilitation. Only candidates currently based in the UAE will be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional, physical and cognitive abilities.
• Develop and implement personalised therapy plans for adult patients in inpatient, outpatient and post-operative settings.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, activities of daily living and overall function.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses and other therapists.
• Assist in discharge planning and give guidance on home-based care and follow-up rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress, treatment goals and outcomes in line with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and guide junior therapists and students.

Required profile

• Valid DHA license or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Hospital or clinical experience preferred; a track record in inpatient, outpatient and post-operative rehabilitation is sought.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills.
