Senior Officer - Logistics

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Officer – Logistics to lead the planning and execution of material, plant and equipment movements for its projects in Sharjah. The role combines strategic logistics planning with hands‑on coordination across procurement, shipping, customs and on‑site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation of project assets in line with approved logistics plans, schedules, regulations and budgets.
• Gather information from project execution, procurement, expediting, vendors, clients and site teams to maintain a detailed logistics plan.
• Develop and regularly update look‑ahead shipping, customs‑clearance and delivery plans for each shipment.
• Prioritise shipments, manage urgent requirements and communicate with freight forwarders, customs agents and internal stakeholders.
• Consolidate cargo where practicable and ensure compliance with Incoterms, cargo insurance and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 120 months (10 years) of logistics experience in an international or energy‑focused environment.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex shipping schedules.
• Familiarity with customs‑clearance, transport regulations and project‑site logistics.
