Senior Officer Operations Data & Analytics

About the role

The Senior Officer – Operations Data & Analytics leads the design, development and delivery of high‑quality data, analytics and reporting solutions that support airport operational performance. The role works within the Airport Management Centre to provide performance analysis, operational monitoring and decision‑support tools for Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end data quality, reconciliation and validation of monthly aeronautical billing datasets.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, DAX calculations and row‑level security for operational performance metrics such as OTP, stand utilisation and baggage handling.
• Design and implement automated data quality monitoring, anomaly detection and ETL pipelines using Databricks, SQL and Python.
• Document AODB data flows, maintain data dictionaries, source mappings and ensure data lineage and security.
• Analyse operational data, produce actionable insights, predictive models and AI‑assisted analytics for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• 4‑5 years of experience in data analytics or reporting, preferably in aviation or a complex operational environment.
• Proven ability to deliver analytical projects independently and work under pressure.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Power BI (advanced development, DAX, data modelling, deployment pipelines).
• SQL query development and optimisation.
• Databricks notebook development and environment management.
• Python (or R) for data processing and AI/ML concepts such as anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
• ETL design, data pipeline construction and data visualisation.
• Understanding of aviation data systems (AODB, FIDS, BHS) and KPI reporting.
