Senior Officer Operations Data and Analytics

About the role

The Senior Officer – Operations Data & Analytics is responsible for the end‑to‑end development and delivery of high‑quality data, analytics, and reporting solutions that support airport operational performance. The role applies data governance principles, independently manages analytical workstreams, develops advanced reporting tools using Power BI and Databricks, and serves as a technical reference point within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead reconciliation and validation of monthly aeronautical billing datasets and ensure operational data quality.
• Design and implement automated data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, and data governance solutions using Databricks and SQL.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting tools for Operations Planning, AOCC, and airport performance monitoring.
• Analyse operational data, convert findings into actionable insights, and support decision‑making across Abu Dhabi Airports.
• Document AODB data flows, maintain data dictionaries, and ensure data integrity, security, and access controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• 4‑5 years of experience in data analytics or reporting, preferably in aviation or a complex operational environment.
• Proven ability to deliver analytical projects independently and work with large, multi‑source datasets.

Required skills

• Power BI development (DAX, data modelling, row‑level security, deployment pipelines).
• SQL query development and optimisation.
• Databricks notebook development and data pipeline/ETL design.
• Python programming for data processing and AI/ML concepts (anomaly detection, predictive analytics).
• Data visualisation and dashboard design.
