Senior Officer – Station (Fire & Rescue)

About the role

The Senior Officer – Station will lead fire and rescue operations within AD Ports’ jurisdiction, ensuring readiness through training, maintenance, and proactive fire prevention. This role combines on‑scene command with continuous improvement of safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day emergency response operations and provide accurate reporting to KP Management.
• Act as On‑Scene Commander for emergencies, unforeseen incidents and assistance requests.
• Plan, deliver and assess training for subordinates using a competency‑based system.
• Oversee preventative maintenance of all fire‑fighting equipment and ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental policies.
• Enforce relevant laws and ordinances within the Port authority’s legal jurisdiction.
• Maintain personal and team fitness levels and ensure proper uniform and equipment usage, including SCBA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety, Engineering, Science, HSE or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Firefighting certificate highly desired.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Minimum 0‑1 years of experience in a similar fire‑service or emergency‑response role.
• Ability to respond to emergencies within three hours and provide cover at short notice.
