Senior Offshore Structural Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Offshore Structural Engineer to join Technip Energies in Abu Dhabi, reporting to the Head of Department. The role involves leading design and analysis of offshore structures for LNG, hydrogen and decarbonisation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of fixed offshore structures such as jackets, topsides and pile foundations, as well as floating FPSO modules.
• Perform structural analyses including in‑service fatigue, pushover, load‑out, transportation, lift, launch and accidental scenarios (boat impact, seismic, blast).
• Develop secondary structure designs – joints, beams, pipe supports, monorails, access platforms and offshore buildings.
• Ensure compliance with international codes (API RP 2A, API RP 2EQ, ISO 19902, DNVGL‑RP‑C203, AISC) and client specifications (ADNOC, ARAMCO, QP/QG).
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams for technical reviews and interface management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (mandatory); Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of offshore structural engineering experience, including new design and modification of existing structures.
• Proven ability to lead technical tasks and solve complex engineering problems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with offshore structural analysis software SACS and USFOS.
• Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS or ABAQUS.
• Strong knowledge of API RP 2A, API RP 2EQ, ISO 19902, DNVGL‑RP‑C203, AISC standards.
• Familiarity with ADNOC, ARAMCO and QP/QG specifications.
