Senior Operations Associate - Shops

About the role

Careem is looking for a Senior Operations Associate to own the performance of its Shops marketplace across the UAE and Jordan. You will work at the intersection of partner operations, strategic planning, and hands‑on picking excellence to deliver a delightful customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end performance scorecard for Shops partners, tracking order acceptance, prep time, accuracy, cancellations and customer contact.
• Translate performance gaps into a strategic roadmap, identifying drivers of GMV leakage, AOV underperformance and take‑rate erosion.
• Manage picking operations embedded in partner stores, including picker productivity, pick‑to‑pack time, training standards and tooling.
• Build and defend last‑mile unit economics for each partner cohort, balancing delivery cost, speed and Captain earnings.
• Lead peak‑season readiness planning for Ramadan and Dubai Shopping Festival, covering demand forecasting and capacity planning.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years in operations, quick‑commerce, last‑mile logistics or e‑commerce marketplace roles.
• At least 2 years managing teams and external partners directly.
• Hands‑on experience with frontline or in‑store operations such as picking, warehousing or fulfillment.
• Strong data fluency and the judgment to turn numbers into actionable conversations.
• Willingness to travel regularly between the UAE and Jordan and fluency in English (Arabic preferred).
