Senior Operator (DHT)

About the role

The Senior Operator (DHT) is responsible for operating, monitoring, and controlling assigned plant units to ensure products are processed, stored, and exported to specification while meeting HSE standards and maximizing plant yield.

Key responsibilities

• Operate control panels and integrated control systems safely and efficiently.
• Log operating incidents, perform routine equipment checks, and coordinate maintenance.
• Authorize work permits, monitor contractor activities, and enforce safety procedures.
• Adjust speeds, temperatures, pressures, and flow rates during start‑ups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
• Monitor instrument readings, manage chemical dosing, and ensure compliance with HSE rules.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer when required.
• Maintain accurate records of functional tests, change‑over routines, and verification tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant operations, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to diagnose abnormal situations and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with other departments and external sites.

Required skills

• Operation of control panels and integrated control systems.
• Knowledge of process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and speed.
• Experience with chemical handling and dosing procedures.
• Familiarity with work‑permit systems and contractor supervision.
