Senior Payroll Accountant

About the role

Xad Technologies is looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Accountant in Sharjah to manage monthly payroll processing for multiple companies. The role ensures compliance with UAE Labour Law and Wages Protection System (WPS) requirements and oversees payroll-related accounting activities, including supervision of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for several companies, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursement.
• Verify attendance, overtime, leave records, deductions, allowances and other payroll data before processing salaries.
• Prepare and process payroll files in line with company policy and UAE Labour Law requirements.
• Ensure WPS compliance and coordinate with banks and other departments for salary transfers.
• Calculate and review end-of-service benefits, gratuity, leave salary and final settlements.
• Handle payroll accounting, journal entries, accruals, provisions and payroll reconciliations.
• Maintain payroll records, employee salary details and supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly payroll reports, salary summaries, reconciliation statements and management reports.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies with HR and other departments and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in payroll and accounting.
• Qualification of M.Com, CMA or CA Inter.
• Knowledge of gratuity and leave salary calculations and experience supervising junior staff.
