Senior Piping Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to join its offshore engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves travelling to ADNOC offshore facilities on a rotational basis to conduct site surveys, support brownfield assessments, and gather engineering data for design and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define piping design bases, codes, standards, and deliverables to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective solutions.
• Act as the single point of contact for all piping deliverables and coordinate with clients, multidisciplinary teams and vendors.
• Engineer piping systems, supports, routing, isometrics and perform stress, thermal‑expansion and vibration analyses.
• Develop and review piping material specifications, datasheets and technical bid evaluations.
• Mentor junior engineers, drive quality, and ensure schedule adherence across project phases.

Required profile

• Valid OPITO‑approved T‑BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications (minimum six months validity).
• Minimum 12 years (144 months) of experience in offshore piping design and engineering.
• Proven ability to work on rotational offshore assignments and interface with client stakeholders.

Required skills

• ASME B31.3, ISO 15156, NACE MR0175, API standards.
• AutoPIPE, Caesar, and other 3D modeling/piping design software.
• Piping stress analysis, thermal expansion, vibration considerations, pipe routing optimization.
• Technical bid evaluations, piping material specifications, and international piping codes.
