Senior Planning Engineer

About the role

KN International is looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead the planning and control of infrastructure and construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves preparing schedules, monitoring progress, and managing delay claims to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and maintain detailed construction schedules, progress reports, cash‑flow forecasts and time‑extension documentation.
• Develop and update work programmes, set milestones for each project phase and monitor daily progress.
• Identify critical activities, generate weekly and monthly progress, risk and variance reports for senior management.
• Evaluate contractor EOT claims, conduct forensic delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis and Window Analysis.
• Support preparation of reports for resettlement action plans, roads, bridges, pump stations, sub‑stations, underground works, high‑rise buildings and hospitality projects.
• Coordinate variations, additional works and agreed valuations, maintaining dashboards and KPIs for project control.
• Apply FIDIC contract knowledge and communicate progress and delay issues with clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of planning engineering experience on UAE infrastructure and construction projects.
• Strong understanding of UAE construction standards, local authority regulations and FIDIC contracts.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PSP are preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
