Senior Planning Engineer – MEP

About the role

The Planning Engineer – MEP will be responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure MEP installations meet timelines, budgets and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 covering installation, testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.
• Coordinate with design, procurement and construction teams to ensure accurate activity sequencing and resource availability.
• Monitor progress, generate weekly/monthly reports, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Support cost control by preparing MEP budgets, tracking expenditures and reporting variances.
• Identify MEP‑related risks, develop mitigation strategies and manage change requests in the schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of planning and scheduling experience on MEP projects, preferably large‑scale commercial or industrial.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire‑fighting systems.
