Senior Principal Engineer - AI Networking Solutions Architect

About the role

Dell Technologies invites you to join its Services Solutions Architecture team in Dubai as a Senior Principal Engineer - AI Networking Solutions Architect. Working with Dell consultants, engineering teams and client stakeholders, you will design, deploy, optimise and support large-scale AI network infrastructure solutions, helping clients achieve their priorities while delivering on service commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and integration of AI network infrastructure using NVIDIA, AMD and Intel technologies.
• Coordinate technical solution team members so that full life-cycle delivery costs stay within the service level agreement.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to avoid customer impact and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong communication with partners and cross-functional teams, and work with clients to assess requirements and deliver customised infrastructure.
• Influence architecture and strategy across multiple programmes, products or organisations, and shape standards, strategy, investment direction and engineering practices.
• Develop architecture diagrams, deployment guides, technical designs and operational procedures, and act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer engagement.
• Manage customers during escalations and handle complex, ambiguous cross-organisational problems.

Required profile

• Five or more years of full-time work as an IT professional in a data centre environment.
• Proven success designing and deploying large-scale AI network infrastructures.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, especially with customers.
• Ability to source information from users, vendors and colleagues and to prioritise administrative tasks and deadlines.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Desirable: bachelor's degree or equivalent, experience with NVIDIA DGX and DGX SuperPOD platforms, networking certifications, experience with GENAI frameworks, and additional languages.

Required skills

• Networking concepts: IP switching and routing, Layer 3 BGP eVPN, data centre technologies, firewalls and security products.
• NVIDIA networking technologies: InfiniBand (Quantum), Ethernet (Spectrum-X), MLNX-OS, NVIDIA Cumulus OS and Enterprise SONiC.
• Experience with third-party vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks and Extreme Networks.
