Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

Avery Dennison is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead strategic sourcing for raw materials, indirect services and subcontractors in its Dubai operations. The role combines category strategy, data‑driven analysis and end‑to‑end procurement ownership to support plant continuity and margin protection.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies, moving beyond simple three‑quote analysis to total cost of ownership assessments.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and redesign the procure‑to‑pay (P2P) cycle for greater agility.
• Build and maintain dynamic dashboards using advanced Google Sheets (Power Query/Pivot) and Power BI.
• Leverage generative AI for market intelligence, contract analysis and automated reporting.
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from stakeholder requirements to vendor performance monitoring.
• Navigate UAE market volatility, handling supplier rate changes and logistics disruptions.
• Act as trusted advisor to Finance, Operations and Senior Leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights.
• Oversee contracts, critical spare‑parts sourcing and outsourced processing to ensure zero disruption.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven ability to drive cost‑saving initiatives and manage complex negotiations.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in function‑vs‑cost and should‑cost modeling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
