Senior Product Quality Engineer

About the role

EDGE is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to lead product approval for supplier‑manufactured parts across Powertech propulsion programs. The role ensures compliance with aerospace quality standards and coordinates configuration and change management between design, supply chain and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve supplier APQP, PPAP (AS9145) and first‑article inspection (AS9102) submissions, issuing written approvals before serial delivery.
• Define inspection and acceptance requirements, develop incoming inspection plans, and assess supplier process capability against Cpk targets.
• Manage non‑conformance, material review, and concession processes, including 8D corrective actions and supplier deviation requests.
• Coordinate design change implementation, maintain configuration traceability, and ensure suppliers receive controlled change notices.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior quality engineers, and develop standardized product‑approval procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Materials or Metrology Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in aerospace quality, supplier quality or manufacturing engineering.
• Demonstrated authority in reviewing and approving APQP, PPAP and first‑article inspection packages.
• Strong GD&T application, tolerance interpretation and drawing analysis skills.

Required skills

• APQP, PPAP, AS9145, AS9102 compliance.
• GD&T and detailed drawing analysis.
• Metrology competence (CMM, optical and contact measurement, gauge design).
• Statistical process control and process capability assessment (Cpk).
• 8D problem‑solving and non‑conformance management.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace special process requirements.
