Senior Project Engineer (Minor Scheme)

About the role

As a Senior Project Engineer you will lead the planning, execution and hand‑over of minor‑scheme projects within ADNOC's oil and gas portfolio. You will provide technical advice, supervise multidisciplinary teams and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Create acquisition requests and prepare all related documentation.
• Develop contracting strategies in coordination with engineering, including EPC vs. PC options and call‑off recommendations.
• Define project scope of work in line with approved engineering packages.
• Review budget estimates, align them with contractor quotations and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Handle technical queries from contractors together with the engineering team.
• Participate in tender evaluations against technical specifications and assess technical merits.
• Accompany contractors on site visits to verify work magnitude, locations and interaction with existing facilities.
• Formulate project execution strategies with site teams according to standard execution procedures.
• Monitor and report progress against scope, schedule, cost, quality and earned‑value metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in project engineering, preferably within oil & gas or related industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to manage minor‑scheme projects from inception through commissioning and hand‑over.
• Strong analytical skills to review budgets, contracts and technical queries.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with engineering, procurement and construction teams.
