Senior Project Manager – Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to act as the Client/Employer Representative and lead the construction phase of large‑scale cultural, museum or public‑sector projects. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards while protecting the client’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the successful delivery of construction projects, aligning scope, budget, schedule, quality and client objectives.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the client, consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders.
• Manage project governance, reporting, risk management and decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor contractor and consultant performance, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, quality and HSE requirements.
• Administer contracts, variations, claims and change management in line with FIDIC or equivalent frameworks.
• Control project costs, review payment applications and implement effective budget‑control measures.
• Coordinate design reviews, RFIs, technical submissions and construction activities to resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare and present progress reports, executive updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the project management team, fostering collaboration and high‑performance delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
• 10‑12 years of construction project management experience, preferably on large‑scale cultural or museum projects.
• Proven experience acting as a Client or PMC representative, preferably in the UAE/GCC region.
• PMP certification is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with MS Project.
• Experience with project reporting tools.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contract administration.
