Senior Project Manager – Construction & Project Management

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager at AECOM in Abu Dhabi, you will lead complex construction and project management initiatives from concept through delivery. You will ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements while driving operational excellence across all phases.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute construction and project management initiatives aligned with organizational objectives and UAE regulations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead and mentor cross‑functional project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular status updates to clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks, creating contingency plans to protect delivery timelines.
• Oversee quality assurance, safety protocols, and compliance with local construction standards.
• Control project finances, track expenditures, forecast costs, and optimize resource utilization.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and operations to ensure seamless execution.
• Prepare and present comprehensive project reports, performance metrics, and lessons‑learned documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in project management.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction or project and construction management (PMCM).
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction regulations and standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
