Senior Project Manager – Onshore Gas Storage

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of a major onshore gas storage project from concept and FEED through detailed engineering and EPC support phases. The role provides leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams and is accountable for execution, client management, commercial performance, schedule, quality, HSE and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of large‑scale onshore gas storage projects, ensuring compliance with contractual scope, budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Develop and implement Project Execution Plans and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams through FEED and detailed design phases.
• Serve as the single point of contact for the client, overseeing stakeholder meetings, progress reviews and executive presentations.
• Oversee engineering deliverables for gas storage facilities, compression systems, gas processing plants, pipeline interfaces and associated utilities.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, commercial performance and variation orders, supporting contract negotiations.
• Lead risk identification, HSE compliance and participation in HAZID, HAZOP and SIL studies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil or related engineering; Master’s degree advantageous.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of Oil & Gas experience and at least 10 years in project management roles.
• Proven delivery of onshore gas processing, storage or LNG projects valued at USD 100 M–500 M+.
• Experience with ADNOC projects and familiarity with ADNOC engineering standards is a plus.
