Senior Quality Assurance & Control Engineer

About the role

Dar is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance & Control Engineer to lead QA/QC activities on complex construction projects across the United Arab Emirates. The role involves developing and implementing quality plans, supervising quality personnel, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan (QCP/QAP).
• Review project specifications, drawings, method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality requirements.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes and standards.
• Coordinate and supervise QA/QC engineers, inspectors and other quality personnel.
• Review and approve material submittals, certificates, test reports and technical documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, quality audits and surveillance activities.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
• Ensure proper receipt, storage, handling and use of approved construction materials.
• Participate in technical and progress meetings and report on quality performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in QA/QC engineering on construction projects.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary quality teams.
• Strong knowledge of international standards and codes (ISO, ASTM, BS, EN, ACI).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
