Senior Quality Engineer – Piping & Valves

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance for piping and valve projects in Sharjah. The role supports the delivery of safe, compliant infrastructure for the energy sector, working closely with procurement, suppliers and internal engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review procurement documents, purchase orders and supplier ITPs, WPS, procedures to ensure compliance with contract quality requirements.
• Develop project‑specific Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Inspection Test Records (ITR) for both supplier and site quality management systems.
• Coordinate with the Completion team to set up PetroPCS and attend pre‑inspection meetings.
• Compile vendor inspection packages, control on‑site and off‑site vendor inspectors, and assess supplier capability.
• Review and approve vendor QA/QC systems, material certificates and inspection procedures.
• Participate in shop inspections, surveillances and resolve technical discrepancies with discipline engineers.
• Issue and track non‑conformance reports, drive corrective actions and support continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality engineering for piping and valve projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier ITPs, WPS and QA/QC documentation.
• Ability to develop and implement QCPs, ITPs and ITRs.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
