Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Jones Engineering is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Dubai team. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Commercial Director to ensure robust tendering, accurate budgeting, and effective commercial risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Pre‑Construction Manager and Estimating Team in tender preparation and budget validation.
• Review and manage commercial documentation (quotes, BOQs) from subcontractors and clients, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and budgets.
• Coordinate the preparation of project risk and opportunity registers and support swift closure of items.
• Maintain weekly and monthly commercial reporting, tracking planned vs. actual costs and KPI performance.
• Validate subcontractor work, prepare payment certificates, progress payment applications, and variation notices.
• Monitor material quantities, top‑up ordering, and Better Buy Schedule against budget projections.
• Ensure change‑management logs are up‑to‑date and support project controls on prelims and manpower.
