Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage quantities, costs, contracts and commercial activities across its projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures accurate cost estimation, measurement, valuation and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take‑offs, BOQs, cost estimates and tender documents.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents to determine quantities and costs.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and expenditures.
• Review contractor quotations, payment applications and interim valuations.
• Assess variations, claims and final accounts.
• Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors and consultants.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, contracts and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and relevant standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
• Strong knowledge of construction measurement, BOQ preparation, estimation and contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying/estimating software; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good analytical, communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
