Senior Quantity Surveyor - Tender / Pre-Contract

About the role

Silver Coast Construction & Boring (SCCB), a civil engineering and construction company founded in Abu Dhabi in 1997, is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Tender / Pre-Contract function in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on building construction, high-rise buildings, infrastructure and CMW/PGC/NGC projects. Only candidates with strong, hands-on tendering and pre-contract experience should apply; those with only post-contract, project QS or site QS experience are asked not to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs for building and infrastructure projects
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and contractual requirements
• Prepare and compile tender submissions and related documentation
• Identify discrepancies, raise RFIs and coordinate technical clarifications during tendering
• Conduct site visits where required to assess project requirements
• Prepare subcontractor and supplier work packages and issue RFQs
• Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis and unit rate build-ups
• Evaluate, compare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Prepare commercial comparison sheets and coordinate with technical and procurement departments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 8-15 years of experience in quantity surveying, with proven hands-on tendering / pre-contract experience
• Mandatory UAE/GCC construction industry experience
• Strong exposure to high-rise buildings, building construction, infrastructure and CMW/PGC/NGC projects
• Proven experience evaluating, comparing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotations
