Senior Radiographer

About the role

The Senior Radiographer provides advanced diagnostic imaging services while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, radiation safety, and image quality. This role leads radiographic examinations, supports clinical teams, and mentors radiography staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee diagnostic imaging examinations using appropriate radiographic equipment, ensuring high‑quality images that meet clinical requirements.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and deliver compassionate care throughout the examination process.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, applying radiation protection protocols for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Review images for technical quality, repeat examinations when necessary, and maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.
• Support radiography staff through training, supervision, mentoring, and technical guidance.
• Coordinate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding imaging needs.
• Participate in quality‑assurance activities, equipment maintenance, clinical audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or recognized qualification in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
• Valid professional registration or licence to practice as a Radiographer.
• Significant clinical experience in diagnostic radiography or medical imaging.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation protection, and patient safety.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
