Senior React Native Mobile Engineer

About the role

Open Innovation AI is seeking a Senior React Native Mobile Engineer to design, build, and ship AI‑powered mobile experiences. You will own the mobile architecture, manage the release pipeline, and integrate large‑language‑model APIs into a production‑grade app that runs on iOS and Android.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document the React Native architecture, including state management, navigation, and module boundaries.
• Develop polished, performant screens that consume platform APIs for AI streaming, authentication, and role‑based access.
• Write and maintain native modules and UI components in Swift/Objective‑C and Kotlin/Java when needed.
• Set up and maintain automated build, signing, versioning, and phased rollout pipelines for both stores.
• Manage App Store Connect and Google Play Console publishing, including certificates, TestFlight, internal testing tracks, store listings, and privacy declarations.
• Integrate LLM and agent APIs, handling streaming responses, tool calling, token‑level UI updates, and cost‑aware request patterns.
• Establish a reliable test strategy covering unit, component, and end‑to‑end tests, plus crash reporting and performance monitoring.
• Mentor other engineers, review code, and act as the go‑to expert for mobile‑specific challenges.
• Travel on short notice to customer sites across the UAE for on‑site escalations.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping and maintaining production React Native apps at scale.
• Comfortable working with native iOS (Swift/Objective‑C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) codebases.
• Hands‑on experience submitting apps through App Store and Google Play review processes.
• Senior‑level expertise with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work in fast‑paced, customer‑focused environments.
• Willingness to travel within the UAE on short notice.
