Senior Resident Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Resident Engineer to lead on‑site engineering activities for large‑scale construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role is pivotal in ensuring that all works meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations while supporting the overall delivery schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on‑site engineering activities, guaranteeing compliance with design specifications, local building codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and keep the project on track.
• Review, approve and monitor construction methodologies, work plans and technical submittals.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality‑control checks.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on‑site.
• Prepare detailed progress reports, identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and approvals.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience (approximately 240 months) in construction engineering and site management.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, safety regulations and contract management.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
