Senior Resident Engineer - Site (Highrise project)

About the role

Egis Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Resident Engineer to lead on‑site engineering activities for a large‑scale high‑rise construction project in Dubai. The role involves coordinating technical teams, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and delivering the project safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on‑site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on‑site.
• Prepare and present detailed progress reports, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Implement and maintain robust safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer on high‑rise projects, with a total of 20 years of experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred; PMP certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and safety regulations.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• In‑depth understanding of local building codes in Abu Dhabi/UAE and familiarity with UAE construction standards.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
