Senior RF Signal Processing Software Engineer

About the role

ADVANCED CONCEPTS, a division of EDGE Group, designs and deploys cutting‑edge autonomous systems. The team is accelerating development of high‑technology unmanned aerial systems, precision loitering munitions and advanced missile families. We are looking for a senior engineer to lead RF signal‑processing software development for embedded platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Implement OSI PHY (layer 1) and layer 2 radio stacks on microcontrollers or FPGA.
• Develop embedded firmware and drivers for RF chipsets, including bare‑metal and RTOS‑based solutions.
• Integrate communication interfaces (I2C, UART, SPI, CAN, Ethernet) in Linux and microcontroller environments.
• Build and maintain Linux images (Yocto, FreeRTOS) and kernel modules for custom hardware.
• Analyse and optimise RF system performance – throughput, latency, power consumption and signal quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication or Software Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded software development using C/C++ and Assembly.
• Strong knowledge of ARM Cortex‑M architectures, bare‑metal firmware and RTOS.
• Proven experience with Linux driver and kernel development.
• Understanding of RF principles, modulation, coding and signal‑processing algorithms.
