Senior Road Safety Auditor

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Road Safety Auditor to lead safety assessments for a variety of road projects in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with designers, engineers and authorities to ensure safe outcomes for all road users.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct road safety audits at all project stages for interchanges, intersections, highway corridors, temporary traffic management plans and more, focusing on non‑motorized travelers.
• Investigate accidents, analyse data and develop practical, cost‑effective safety counter‑measures using resources such as PIARC, iRAP and the Global Road Safety Partnership.
• Deliver training workshops for road designers on conducting stage‑specific safety audits.
• Review and assess road design standards and guidelines, and support approval submissions to the Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Center (ITC).

Required profile

• Accredited/registered Road Safety Auditor from an internationally recognised body (e.g., SoRSA, CIHT, TERN, IRF).
• Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum 8 years of road safety experience covering audits, remedial measure development and evaluation.
• Strong knowledge of Vision Zero strategies and current road safety trends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with road design standards such as AASHTO, DMRB or EN.
• Experience using GIS mapping tools (MapInfo, ArcGIS or similar).
• Knowledge of crash modification factors (CMF/CRF) and collision data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
