Senior Robotics Software Engineer – Payload Integration

About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to lead payload integration for autonomous platforms on the Maneuver Dominance team. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will design and deliver software that connects mission payloads, stores management systems, and hardware interfaces to ensure reliable operation in demanding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer scalable networked software that interacts with routers, switches, and managed networks.
• Design and implement integration with stores management systems (SMS) and other payload subsystems for munitions control.
• Architect APIs and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) using HTTP, REST, and gRPC to link vehicles, payloads, and ground stations.
• Build low‑latency data transport layers over UDP and TCP, optimizing reliability.
• Develop hardware‑interfacing code for embedded devices, sensors, and payload electronics.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, vehicle, and payload teams to embed software into physical platforms.
• Travel up to 25% of the time to test, debug, and deploy systems in operational settings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of production‑grade software development in C++ and/or Rust.
• Experience with networking hardware, API/ICD design, and low‑level UDP/TCP transport.
• Proven ability to write hardware‑interfacing code for embedded or sensor systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and obtain a Secret security clearance.
