Senior Security Engineer

About the role

SDD is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to strengthen the security posture of its applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with development teams to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities while staying ahead of emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough source code reviews to detect security flaws and ensure best‑practice compliance.
• Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
• Perform Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) on applications and systems.
• Use advanced analytics to identify emerging threat patterns.
• Collaborate with software developers to communicate findings and recommend remediation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of cyber‑security trends and technologies.
• Document security assessments, discoveries, and remediation activities.
• Support the development and implementation of security policies across the organization.
• Monitor identity and access management for misuse of permissions.
• Conduct ethical hacking and threat‑risk analysis as needed.
• Contribute to security architecture reviews and design secure principles for new services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on source code review and VAPT.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP are preferred.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Arabic language ability is a plus.
