Senior Site Civil Engineer

About the role

The Senior Site Civil Engineer will lead on‑site civil works in Dubai, ensuring that construction activities follow approved engineering plans, codes and quality standards. You will act as the technical bridge between design engineers, contractors and project managers, driving daily operations and delivering safe, compliant infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications and engineering plans.
• Review, comment and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, calculations and material proposals.
• Supervise day‑to‑day site operations, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain schedule and quality.
• Develop and execute Inspection & Testing Plans, conduct site inspections, surveys and testing (CBR, compaction, concrete, pressure, hydrostatic, pavement).
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Analyse survey data and as‑built drawings to resolve non‑conformities.
• Prepare progress, quality and photographic reports, and forward mark‑up drawings weekly.

Required profile

• Senior civil engineering professional with extensive site experience in road, drainage and utility works.
• Strong knowledge of local and international construction codes and HSE requirements.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

• Erosion and sediment control inspections.
• As‑built drawing analysis and progress reporting.
