Senior SOC Engineer – SOAR Automation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior SOC Engineer specialized in Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) to join our Abu Dhabi team. You will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of SOAR playbooks that automate incident response across our security stack.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SOAR platforms such as Forti SOAR, Splunk SOAR and Cortex XSOAR.
• Onboard new log sources and integrate them with SIEM/SOAR solutions.
• Design, develop and refine automated playbooks, workflows and custom scripts.
• Integrate SOAR with threat intelligence, ticketing, SIEM and other security tools.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts to streamline triage, investigation and remediation.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SOC operations with a focus on SOAR management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Relevant vendor certifications (e.g., GIAC, CISSP) are preferred.
• Strong understanding of SOC workflows, MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat detection methodologies.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Forti SOAR, Splunk SOAR and Cortex XSOAR.
• Python scripting for automation and connector development.
• Cloud architecture certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect.
• Knowledge of SIEM, EDR, NDR technologies and integration patterns.
