Senior Software Engineer – GenAI & Node.js

About the role

You will join one of the UAE's most recognised banks as a Senior Software Engineer working at the intersection of backend development and Generative AI. The position focuses on building highly‑available, scalable APIs and integrating Azure AI services to deliver innovative banking experiences to millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Engineer and fine‑tune prompts for large language model solutions via Azure OpenAI.
• Integrate Azure AI services such as Speech, Language, and PII Detection into banking products.
• Implement real‑time communication using WebSockets.
• Ensure API security and compliance within a regulated environment.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines, containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes, and troubleshoot distributed services.
• Document code with JSDoc and create automation test scripts where possible.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with strong backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated banking context.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for AI‑driven solutions.
