Senior Solutions Architect - Digital Platforms

About the role

A senior, application and integration-focused Solutions Architect is needed in Dubai. The role owns the complete customer transaction from the digital channel through APIs and CDS business services into Emirates enterprise systems and external chauffeur and service-provider platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define end-to-end solution architecture across web and mobile channels, backend services, integration platforms, enterprise systems and external service providers.
• Translate business capabilities, functional requirements and customer journeys into scalable, secure and resilient technical solutions.
• Design architectures for Chauffeur Drive booking, modification, cancellation and fulfilment journeys, and for real-time transactional platforms handling availability, eligibility, capacity and service confirmation.
• Support complex customer eligibility and business-rule evaluation, and design solutions covering address capture/validation, geolocation, service-area determination, vehicle selection and routing.
• Integrate with external suppliers and service providers, handling availability, booking confirmation, failures, retries and reconciliation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application and solution architecture, architecting complex, customer-facing digital platforms.
• Proven experience defining solution, application, integration, deployment, security and data flow architectures.
• Strong understanding of microservices and domain-driven architecture, and API-first architecture (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, API gateways, authentication, API lifecycle).
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven) and integration platforms such as SnapLogic or equivalent iPaaS.
• Experience with messaging and event technologies (Kafka, Solace, JMS) and modern stacks (Java / Spring Boot, React / TypeScript).
• Cloud-native architecture (containers, Kubernetes / OpenShift, high availability, secrets management) and relational and NoSQL databases.
• Security architecture and secure-by-design principles (OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect, JWT, RBAC, certificates, encryption, data protection).
• Experience architecting airline, travel, transportation, mobility or complex booking platforms is highly desirable.
