Senior Specialist, Quantitative Analysis

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Specialist in Quantitative Analysis to join the Middle Office team in Abu Dhabi. The role will provide advanced quantitative expertise and analytical insights to support trading decisions, pricing strategies, and risk management across our trading desks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quantitative models and analytical tools to support trading and risk decisions.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis and statistical modeling to identify market trends and pricing dynamics.
• Collect, validate, and manage large datasets ensuring quality and integrity.
• Enhance data processes and improve analytics frameworks.
• Collaborate with traders and risk teams to optimize portfolios and hedging strategies.
• Integrate models into trading systems and workflows.
• Support accurate reporting and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar); Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in data/quantitative analysis, preferably within trading or financial environments.
• Experience in commodity trading or energy markets strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced trading environment.

Required skills

• Programming in Python, C++, R, Julia or similar.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Python dashboards.
