Senior Staff Nurse – Tissue & Skin Bank

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Nurse for its Tissue & Skin Bank. The nurse supports and coordinates clinical activities related to tissue and skin banking, provides senior-level nursing support, contributes to donor identification and management and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, ethical and efficient donation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior-level nursing care to potential and confirmed organ and tissue donors.
• Support the identification, referral and assessment of potential donors, and monitor donor clinical status.
• Coordinate donor care with physicians and transplant teams, and assist with organ and tissue retrieval procedures.
• Liaise with intensive care, emergency, operating theatre, laboratory and transplant teams.
• Educate and support patients' families throughout the donation process.
• Ensure accurate documentation of donor assessments, interventions and outcomes, and support compliance with donation policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing clinical protocols and workflows, and mentor and support junior nursing staff.
• Take part in staff education, audits, quality improvement, patient safety and service development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or an equivalent recognized nursing qualification.
• Valid professional nursing registration/license, meeting Dubai health authority requirements.
• Significant clinical nursing experience, including senior-level experience in organ donation, transplantation, critical care, ICU, emergency care or a closely related specialty.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex patient-care activities and experience supporting families in sensitive situations.
• Preferred: experience in skin bank coordination, tissue donation, transplantation, ICU, donor management, organ retrieval, family counseling, clinical education, staff supervision and quality improvement.
