Senior Sustainability Consultant

About the role

SOZO Management Consultants, an Abu Dhabi-based sustainability consultancy specialising in green building certifications, sustainability advisory, energy efficiency and commissioning, is looking for a technically strong and proactive Senior Sustainability Consultant. The role offers autonomy, direct client work and a chance to help shape the firm's growth.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage sustainability consultancy deliverables across design and construction-stage projects
• Lead Estidama, LEED and other green building certification documentation, coordination and submissions
• Review architectural, MEP and construction documentation for compliance with sustainability requirements
• Coordinate directly with developers, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders
• Lead client meetings, technical discussions and project presentations
• Conduct construction-stage site inspections and sustainability compliance assessments
• Manage project schedules, certification progress, technical deliverables and deadlines
• Identify technical challenges and propose practical solutions
• Support and guide junior team members

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of relevant sustainability consultancy experience in the UAE
• Demonstrated hands-on experience delivering green building certification projects in design and construction stages
• Valid Estidama PQP and/or LEED AP accreditation; Estidama PBRS certification is a must
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science or a related field
• Excellent spoken and written English, able to lead meetings and present professionally
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Valid UAE driver's licence and access to your own vehicle for site visits
• Based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of Estidama and/or LEED certification requirements, documentation and submissions
• Preferred: additional certifications in WELL, Fitwel, BREEAM or Al Safat
• Preferred: experience with sustainability assessments, LCA or carbon calculations, and mentoring junior consultants
