Senior System Admin Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System Admin Engineer to lead a team of administrators responsible for the availability, performance, and security of our application and service stack. You will guide daily activities, set performance goals, and foster a collaborative culture while ensuring robust operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of system administrators, conduct performance evaluations, and set clear objectives.
• Administer, configure, and manage application servers, databases, middleware, and related services.
• Coordinate incident response, resolve service disruptions, and minimize business impact.
• Analyze root causes of recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.
• Plan, test, document, and communicate changes to applications and services.
• Manage vendor relationships, third‑party support, and contractual compliance.
• Monitor performance and utilization, identify optimization opportunities, and apply tuning measures.
• Ensure security and regulatory compliance, including data privacy requirements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and produce regular reports on team performance and service levels.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading system administration teams in a complex IT environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems quickly.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet project deadlines.
