Senior System Assurance Engineer

About the role

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Senior System Assurance Engineer to lead system assurance activities for complex railway and metro projects in Abu Dhabi. The role combines technical expertise with managerial responsibilities, ensuring compliance with RAMS standards and delivering high‑quality assurance deliverables on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate system assurance work across multiple interfaces and contracts, adhering to EN 50126, EN 50128 and EN 50129 standards.
• Collaborate closely with regional and global RAMS leadership to resolve issues and define project strategies.
• Manage verification and validation (V&V) activities, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with project schedules and budgets.
• Interface with design‑build contractors, guaranteeing timely delivery of system assurance outputs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, internal ISAs, senior management, and external stakeholders, escalating issues as needed.
• Support bid preparation and proposal development for new projects.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of railway experience, including at least 5 years in a System Assurance Manager role.
• Proven track record managing system assurance for complex railway or metro projects.
• Strong understanding of RAMS processes and ability to work in fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environments.
• Excellent communication skills for client and internal stakeholder interaction.
