Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the operation and evolution of a hybrid IT environment that spans on‑premises data‑center assets and major cloud platforms. The role combines technical leadership, hands‑on engineering, and a focus on security, reliability, and performance for business‑critical services across the UAE and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise‑grade compute, storage, virtualization, and networking infrastructure on‑premises.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers, VMware and/or Hyper‑V platforms, and related services such as Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Oversee cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud), implement hybrid connectivity, and drive cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Apply security hardening, ensure compliance with regional regulations, and manage backup, disaster‑recovery, and business‑continuity solutions.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) and adopt Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.
• Provide root‑cause analysis for critical incidents, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and after‑hours support as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure operations, or a similar role.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale infrastructure upgrades, data‑center migrations, and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
